Caravan Awning Extension & Reduction

If you have changed your caravan, you may not need to buy a new awning. We can extend or reduce your existing awning without distorting the roof or walls, and you can still use your existing poles.

We understand that buying a new awning can be expensive. That’s why we developed a system to extend or reduce most awnings to fit an alternative caravan. We have successfully adapted hundreds of awnings over the years and can advise you on the best solution for your caravan and awning.

We add a triangular piece of material into each corner of the roof panel to extend the awning. To reduce the awning, we reverse the process. This ensures that the awning fits snugly on your caravan when installed. All seams are double folded and sealed to add strength and keep out wet weather.

It is important to note that we can only extend or reduce an awning by a maximum of 1.2 meter. Any more than this will cause distortion and the awning may not function properly.

HOW TO CALCULATE YOUR A MEASUREMENT

Caravans uses The A measurement. This is the distance in centimetres from ground level, going up and then all the way around a caravan’s awning rail and back down to the ground again at the other side. If you have your caravan owners manual, the A-measurement should be listed on the page giving all the dimensions of the caravan.

What we need?

To alter your awning, we will need the A measurements of your new caravan split into the length of the rail and the distance from the rail to the ground. See the red and blue lines below
